While investigating #939, it has been brought to my attention that a bug in the packaging of Paperwork has broken Paperwork’s SSL support (HTTPS) on Windows. This bug has been fixed. However, people who updated to 2.0 right after its release all have this bug.
Due to this bug, Paperwork:
- won’t be able to detect new releases of Paperwork
- won’t be able to report anonymous statistics to openpaper.work
- won’t be able to submit automated bug reports
In most cases, the error will be silent (only visible in the logs).
I advise to update Paperwork 2.0. You just have to uninstall Paperwork and run again the installer. The installer will automatically download and install the latest version built from the branch master with the fix included.
